Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Accai ("Accai", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, join a challenge, use AI coaching, save workspace or journal content, or otherwise use our services (the "Service").
Accai serves users in the United States and United Kingdom. Additional company disclosures will be added before launch once finalized. This policy describes the product data practices currently implemented for the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and limited technical data.
- Account and contact data: name, email address, account identifiers, authentication identifiers, and profile details.
- Challenge and progress data: enrollments, selected tiers, start dates, time zones, completion status, streaks, tasks, and verification activity.
- Workspace and journal content: project names, workspace tabs, daily journals, saved work, uploaded or submitted materials, and related metadata.
- Messages and transcripts: text chat messages, AI coaching transcripts, saved session snapshots, transcript items, and conversation metadata.
- Voice usage metadata: session identifiers, usage legs, provider event identifiers, audio duration, source type, timestamps, and daily usage totals.
- Payment and subscription data: Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, payment status, trial, and billing metadata. We do not store full card numbers.
- Feedback and support data: feedback text, support requests, page URL, user agent, session context, and related correspondence.
- Device, log, and security data: IP address, browser type, device information, app logs, error reports, and security or abuse-prevention signals.
3. Voice and Audio Handling
When you use voice features, microphone audio is processed transiently so AI systems can understand your request and generate real-time responses. Accai does not store raw microphone audio by default. Transcripts, text messages, saved session snapshots, and voice usage metadata may be stored so we can provide session history, enforce voice limits, support challenge progress, debug issues, and improve reliability.
If a feature later offers user-requested audio export or recording, we will present additional notice or controls before storing raw audio for that feature.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to operate and improve Accai, including to:
- Create and secure user accounts.
- Provide AI coaching, voice and text sessions, workspaces, journals, transcripts, and saved sessions.
- Operate challenge enrollment, progress tracking, verification, daily limits, and subscriptions.
- Process payments, trials, renewals, cancellations, taxes, and billing support through Stripe.
- Send service communications such as account, payment, challenge, support, and product notices.
- Respond to feedback and support requests.
- Monitor reliability, debug errors, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- Improve product quality, safety, usability, and performance.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and regulatory obligations.
5. Legal Bases for UK Users
For users covered by UK data protection law, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract to provide the Service; legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and supporting the Service; consent where we ask for it; and legal obligations for tax, accounting, payment, security, and compliance matters.
6. Third-Party Services
We use service providers to deliver the Service. These providers process information for limited business purposes.
- Clerk: authentication and user management.
- Supabase: database, storage, and backend infrastructure.
- Stripe: checkout, subscriptions, trials, payment processing, tax, and billing records.
- OpenAI and other AI providers: AI processing for voice, text, transcription, and coaching features.
- Resend or email providers: transactional and service-related email when enabled.
- Hosting, analytics, logging, and infrastructure providers: delivery, reliability, security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
These providers may process information in the United States, United Kingdom, European Economic Area, or other locations where they or their subprocessors operate.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers described above, when needed to process payments or operate the Service, when you direct us to share it, as part of a business transfer, to comply with law or legal process, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Accai, our users, or others.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain account and challenge history, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support product reliability. When information is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify, or aggregate it where practical.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should protect your account credentials and avoid submitting information you do not want processed by the Service.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. UK users may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office or another applicable authority.
You can request help with privacy rights by contacting us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
11. Children and Teens
The Service is not intended for children under 16. Users who are 16 or 17 may use the Service only with parent or guardian consent. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal information to Accai, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
12. International Transfers
Because Accai and our providers operate across borders, your information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or provider commitments designed to protect transferred information.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service and our data practices evolve. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as posting the updated policy in the Service or sending an account notice.
